Through Oct. 7, Apple is turning Subway Surfers+ into a Sneaky Sasquatch-themed event with four unlockable character skins, two hoverboards and a reworked level using Sasquatch Valley elements.
Raccoon coins replace Subway Surfers' usual gold, and the security guard appears in a ranger disguise, extending the open-world Apple Arcade game's look and humor into the runner.
Sept. 17 brings a separate Sneaky Sasquatch update that adds birdwatching, with more than 30 bird species to spot, photograph and log for rewards.
Photo scores will depend on composition and subject quality, with extra bonuses for rare birds, first-time sightings and multi-bird shots.
The crossover and update are part of Apple's push to refresh Apple Arcade content, a service priced at $6.99 a month in the U.S.
