Pittsburgh sent Broderick Jones and a fourth-round pick to Dallas for third- and sixth-round selections, moving the tackle a day before the NFL's roster cutdown deadline.
Jones had fallen out of the Steelers' plans after they declined his fifth-year option, drafted first-round tackle Max Iheanachor and shifted Troy Fautanu to left tackle.
The 24-year-old also carried injury and performance questions after a 2025 neck injury, an offseason recovery setback and a preseason outing against the Jets in which he allowed two sacks.
Dallas released receiver Denzel Mims the same day and now adds Jones as potential competition for Terence Steele at right tackle, with the opener at the Giants set for Sept. 13.
