Kevin Sorbo Rules Out California Return After 7 Years in Florida

Nearly seven years after leaving California, Kevin Sorbo said he is permanently done with the state, saying the trade-off is not worth enduring its taxes, traffic and what he called negativity.
Florida gave him “acceptance,” Sorbo said, adding that new contacts and filmmaking opportunities have come through Sorbo Studios and the independent film community.
Sorbo tied the move to broader complaints about Hollywood, saying conservatives and Christians face blacklisting and that his own views have led to attempts to “cancel” him.
His comments came as faith-based film “Elijah Peel” opened in theaters, with Sorbo arguing projects like it show filmmakers can reach audiences outside Hollywood’s traditional gatekeepers.
