Ten people were shot around 12:23 a.m. Sunday on Locust Street in Trenton, with a 33-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man later pronounced dead.
Police said multiple suspects walked up to a block party of about 100 people and opened fire into the crowd, leaving a crime scene that stretched across the entire 100 block.
More than 50 shell casings were recovered, and the eight surviving victims—two women and six men ages 23 to 43—were treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and seeking witnesses, but no arrests had been made as of Sunday.
