US Ambassador Fertitta Extols Sardinia on 250th-Anniversary Italy Coast Tour

Porto Cervo marked the latest stop on Tilman Fertitta’s weeks-long “Freedom 250 Coastal Diplomacy Italy tour,” where he praised Sardinia and said he would return soon.
The US ambassador said the trip is meant to showcase close US-Italy ties, describing the two countries as historic allies, economic partners and close friends.
Aboard his yacht Boardwalk, Fertitta has hosted 250th-anniversary events all summer in ports including Naples, Bari, Genoa, Palermo and Sardinia.
The coastal tour has turned a series of port visits into a public diplomacy campaign centered on the 250th anniversary and the bilateral partnership.
