That means the effects are not a one-time unlock in practical terms; they become recurring consumables. For players trying to lean on Dynamic Punch+ in Mega Raids and Super Mega Raids, or Future Sight+ for stat-hunting, the resource drain could escalate quickly. The biggest hurdle is Mega Energy. Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y use separate energy pools, so trainers who want access to both effects must farm both forms independently. Supplemental reporting tied to GO Fest’s Mewtwo rollout indicates the first Mega Evolution is unusually costly—around 7,500 Mega Energy for the initial unlock of a form, with even more needed to push Mega Levels higher. Higher Mega Levels matter because the extra Charged Attack grows stronger as Mega Level rises.
