A woman in her late 20s was taken to a hospital Monday after suffering a lower-leg wound at South Beach in Edgartown that officials said was consistent with a possible shark bite.
Town Administrator James Hagerty said the injuries were non-life-threatening and did not involve limb loss; emergency crews treated her on scene before transport.
