Prosecutors said Henry had just shoplifted and was driving a stolen car when she hit Diakite in a Kroger parking lot in Westerville, then fled to avoid being caught.
At a stoplight, Diakite got out, stood in front of Henry's car and climbed onto the hood; Henry accelerated to 45 mph, jerked the vehicle, and dragged him 300 to 600 feet before running him over.
Henry must serve at least four years, her driver's license was permanently suspended, and police said she already had active warrants including theft, receiving stolen property and failure to comply.
