Chelsea had lined up Camara as part of its midfield reshuffle after selling Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City, but Monaco’s position changed once Balogun’s exit was no longer secure. With no completed Balogun sale and the deadline closing, Camara’s move was put on hold or fell apart, depending on the stage of paperwork. So one medical dispute in England did not just threaten Everton’s striker plans. It also blocked Monaco’s squad management, killed Lira’s Monaco move, and derailed Chelsea’s attempt to sign Camara.
