Nearly 70,000 Entergy Texas customers were without power by 7:15 p.m. Tuesday as Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall near The Woodlands.
More than 1,500 Entergy resources were deployed to assess damage, make repairs and restore service as quickly as conditions allow.
High winds and flooding are complicating access and slowing restoration, with the utility saying crews will keep working until it is safe to reach all affected areas.
