Ukraine Damages Novatek's Ust-Luga Oil Units, Triggering Major Fire

Ukraine’s military intelligence agency said its Tuesday attack damaged oil-processing units and key equipment at Novatek’s Ust-Luga complex in Russia’s Leningrad region, sparking a major fire.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy paired the strike with a warning to airlines, insurers and passengers that Russian airspace will remain unsafe during the war because Ukrainian drones will keep operating there.
Vladimir Putin called that warning “a declaration of state terrorism” as Russia intensified attacks on Ukraine, killing 12 people around Kyiv and hitting railway facilities that are central to civilian transport.
In the south, Russian strikes also hit Odesa’s Black Sea export infrastructure, a border crossing with Romania and Naftogaz’s combined heat and power plant, underscoring the widening pressure on energy and logistics.
