George Kittle and Nick Bosa will fly with San Francisco to Melbourne on Wednesday, keeping both in play for the 49ers' Week 1 game against the Rams on Sept. 10.
Kittle, 32, was activated from the PUP list on Aug. 23 after a torn Achilles on Jan. 11 and has practiced the past two days, with GM John Lynch saying he has met all recovery benchmarks.
Bosa is also trending toward availability after missing most of camp while recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee — the second in that knee — suffered last September.
San Francisco is arriving about a week early to adjust to Melbourne's 17-hour time difference, following scientific advice, while the Rams plan to arrive the day before the game.
The opener at Melbourne Cricket Ground will kick off at 8:35 p.m. ET on Sept. 10, which is 11:35 a.m. local time on Friday, Sept. 11.
