NFL Marks 25th 9/11 Anniversary Across 32 Clubs, Extending Tributes to Australia

All 32 NFL teams will stage 25th-anniversary 9/11 tributes during Week 1, with in-stadium ceremonies, broadcast segments and community events aimed at honoring victims, survivors, first responders and military families.
Week 1 plans include live national anthem coverage across 1 p.m. ET games, special tribute coins for pregame tosses and "Never Forget" end-zone stencils that will appear only for the opening week.
The Giants-Cowboys Sunday night game near the World Trade Center site will feature players, coaches and staff in commemorative NYPD, FDNY and PAPD hats, plus pregame "Never Forget" shirts; team-store proceeds will benefit those agencies.
Australia will also host 9/11 remembrance events during the NFL's first regular-season game there, including U.S. and Australian color guards, military field presentations and weeklong activities for families of the fallen tied to 9/11.
Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league wants to preserve the attacks' legacy and the unity and service that followed for future generations.
