Summary
Henry Yin — a longtime Ro Khanna ally once publicly identified by Khanna as a senior adviser — was linked by Fox News Digital to at least 10 events hosted by Chinese Communist Party United Front groups.
LinkedIn slides and past profiles depict Yin as a California-based trade broker with Chinese state-media coverage, Fujian commerce ties and attendance at a 2009 Beijing banquet with top CCP leaders including Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping.
Khanna’s office had earlier said Yin was never employed by the congressman and serves no role in his office or campaign, but Khanna’s past posts praised Yin’s “leadership” and called him one of his “good friends.”
The report says Yin remained active in China-linked outreach this year, including a July delegation to Guangzhou and a 2026 China-California trade forum after advising on Gavin Newsom’s 2023 China trip.
The findings could complicate Khanna’s profile as a possible 2028 Democratic presidential contender and House Select Committee on the CCP member, especially amid renewed scrutiny of Bay Area political ties to Chinese influence networks.
