For COVID-19, the societies recommend annual vaccination for all adults 19 and older and two updated doses for adults 65 and older, while pharmacies are beginning to receive XFG-targeted shots from Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech and Novavax-Sanofi.
For RSV, the groups stress it is not an annual shot, reserving vaccination for older adults, high-risk adults and pregnancy, while recommending monoclonal antibody protection for infants without maternal coverage.
