Milwaukee is debating whether to skip Jacob Misiorowski for a start or two after the 24-year-old gave up five runs in four innings Wednesday against the Cubs, ending a 25-start stretch without allowing more than three earned runs.
The concern is workload: Misiorowski has already thrown 155 innings after logging 129.1 across the minors and majors in 2025, and he still has at least four regular-season starts left.
Jake Peavy urged the Brewers to rest him now, saying overuse can be hard to reverse and arguing a fresh Misiorowski is essential if Milwaukee is to win the World Series.
