Seven weeks of deliberations ended in a mistrial after Lindsay Clancy’s jury split 11-1, with defense lawyer Kevin Reddington saying one juror held out to convict.
Reddington then attacked both the prosecution and the lone juror outside court, saying Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz “doesn’t have a case” and that the deadlock robbed the other jurors of seven weeks.
A bid to halt the mistrial was denied by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and the juror list was impounded for at least 14 days.
Sept. 29 is the next hearing date; Cruz said he will decide shortly whether to retry Clancy, 36, who faces three murder charges in the 2023 deaths of her children.
