Supreme Court to Hear Arizona 90-Day Voter Roll Case in December

The appeal stems from a Ninth Circuit ruling that found the measures conflict with the National Voter Registration Act, which generally bars systematic voter-roll removals during the 90-day pre-election window.
Amicus briefs filed Thursday by election-law groups argued that reading the NVRA that broadly would stop states from removing noncitizens, minors or fictitious registrants who were never eligible to vote in the first place.
The briefs also challenged the lower court's view that a citizenship attestation alone is enough, saying states must be able to demand documentation to enforce voter-qualification rules.
The case lands as voter-integrity disputes intensify, with the report citing a California indictment of a Honduran national accused of registering under an alias and voting in multiple elections.
