$665,000 is the asking price for Marjorie Johnson’s Robbinsdale, Minnesota, home, listed for the first time since the nationally known “Blue Ribbon Baker” died last year at 106.
Built in 1968, the 5,100-square-foot lakefront house is being marketed as a preserved “time capsule,” with original fixtures, shag carpet, floral wallpaper, pink tile and a built-in record player still intact and working.
Johnson tailored the powder-blue kitchen to her 4-foot-9 frame, adding lowered counters, a low desk, extra freezers and extensive cabinetry in the space where she developed recipes that helped her win more than 3,000 fair ribbons.
The six-bedroom, four-bath home also includes a second kitchen, indoor basement pool, three-season room and 70 feet of Crystal Lake shoreline; the family says several offers have already come in.
The listing extends Johnson’s legacy beyond her TV and state-fair fame, coming as Minnesota’s State Fair this year introduced a Marjorie Johnson Honey Bee Award in her honor.
