Kawal Preet Singh Indicted Over 40 Pounds of Meth at California Pizza Shop

Federal prosecutors indicted Kawal Preet Singh, 50, after agents allegedly found more than 40 pounds of methamphetamine, three guns and $11,800 tied to a Dinuba Round Table Pizza.
An Aug. 18 search of Singh’s home, car and the restaurant uncovered about 30 pounds of suspected meth at his house and nearly 11 pounds in five bags inside his Hyundai Sonata parked at the shop.
The case grew out of a May tip and a broader probe into Indian organized crime in California’s Central Valley, where investigators said Sikh truck drivers were suspected of moving narcotics for a Mexican cartel.
Singh pleaded not guilty, is not in custody, and faces at least 10 years on the drug counts plus a possible five more on the firearm charge; his next hearing is Nov. 4.
Round Table Pizza’s parent FAT Brands said the Dinuba outlet was independently owned, local owners were unaware of the alleged activity and are cooperating; the location is now listed as permanently closed.
