Family Recovers 4 Bodies After Piper PA-34 Vanishes Near Bahamas

Summary
Four relatives aboard a Piper PA-34 were found dead Tuesday after the plane lost contact on a flight from Great Harbour Cay to Miami Executive Airport.
Family members said civilians and relatives joined the recovery mission, and a civilian boat found the first body before all four victims were located.
The victims were identified as 80-year-old pilot Mario Lamar, 79-year-old Lili Lamar, 28-year-old Sofia Sosa and 22-year-old Christian Sosa, returning to South Florida after a weekend in the Bahamas.
U.S. Coast Guard officials said they were working with Bahamian authorities after the aircraft may have crashed about 15 miles from Andros Island, where police had paused the search Monday because of bad weather.
The family had publicly pleaded for help from boaters and fishermen, saying they were unaware of an active official search, and is now working with the Coast Guard to bring the bodies home.
