Ivan S. Miller, who died Aug. 14 in Strasburg Township, was identified by the Lancaster County Coroner after a right-to-know request; his death certificate lists a ruptured spleen and notes measles.
Mary S. Stoltzfus, who died Aug. 18 at just over 1 month old in Fulton Township, was identified as dying of cardiac arrest due to measles; the coroner also confirmed she had Amish lethal microcephaly.
The coroner classified the newborn boy's death as measles-associated, while the baby girl's death was attributed directly to measles.
Pennsylvania reported 17 new measles cases Tuesday, lifting the 2026 total to 594, with Lancaster County still leading the state at 252 cases.
