About 47,289 taxpayer records had already been shared with ICE before the injunction took effect, under a policy designed to support Trump's mass-deportation agenda.
DHS said it disagrees with the decision and will keep using lawful tools to locate and remove immigrants with final deportation orders, while the panel also found the data-sharing process violated privacy protections for noncitizen taxpayers.
