HSI Agent Kent Blacklidge, 43, Indicted on 9 Sex-Crime Charges in Alabama

A Baldwin County grand jury indicted Kent Blacklidge on nine charges, including first- and second-degree rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and incest involving a juvenile girl.
Jan. 11 marked the start of the investigation after police received a report alleging sexual abuse of a juvenile female; authorities said they know of one victim and have no indication of others.
Sept. 5 was when Blacklidge turned himself in after investigators contacted his attorney, and he had already been placed on administrative leave shortly after the case began.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall's office took over the prosecution after the Baldwin County District Attorney's Office recused itself because Blacklidge is a witness in other cases.
Blacklidge's HSI duties included investigating child exploitation cases, deepening scrutiny of the allegations; if released on bond, he would face electronic monitoring, home confinement and a ban on contact with minors.
