Summary
NT$514.8 billion in August revenue gave TSMC a record month, up 53.3% from a year earlier and 10.1% from July.
AI chip demand drove the surge, extending TSMC's monthly revenue growth streak to four months after the company said in July that AI-related demand remained "extremely robust."
Third-quarter revenue is still forecast at $44.6 billion to $45.8 billion after second-quarter profit jumped more than 77% year on year.
TrendForce said TSMC held a 72.5% foundry market share in the second quarter, with AI server processors keeping its 5-, 4- and 3-nanometer capacity fully booked.
TSMC and ASML this week also outlined plans to use High NA technology in volume production from 2030, tying the next manufacturing shift to rising AI complexity.
