Summary
Warren County prosecutors added three charges Tuesday against Lester Noe Perez-Amador—two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of child endangerment—after a 6-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped from her New Jersey home.
Police said the girl was reported missing just before 3 a.m. Saturday during Labor Day weekend and was found within an hour returning home on foot; investigators later developed evidence that she was sexually assaulted.
Perez-Amador, 27, was arrested a day later and had initially been charged with home invasion burglary and kidnapping; police said he is known to the child and remains jailed pending an Oct. 19 court appearance.
DHS said Perez-Amador was living in the U.S. illegally, had been taken into ICE custody after a DUI arrest in March 2024, then released back into the community; the agency has now lodged a detainer and is seeking his transfer.
