Mistrulli Presses Congress to Refill $10 Billion Terror Victims Fund by Sept. 30

Sept. 30 is the deadline Angela Mistrulli and other victims' families are targeting as they press Congress to restore the depleted USVSST Fund before the next payment round.
The fund, created in 2015, has paid more than $10 billion to over 22,000 victims of state-sponsored terrorism, but Mistrulli said it has run dry while unpaid claims keep growing.
A bipartisan New York bill introduced in July would require the Treasury to loan $3 billion a year to the fund in fiscal 2027, 2028 and 2029.
Mistrulli, whose father died in the World Trade Center attack, is lobbying at the Republican midterm convention as the 25th anniversary of 9/11 sharpens pressure for Congress to act.
