Woodaz can step into the lineup, but the Texans will likely need a committee response from the entire front seven, including more cleanup work from Al-Shaair and stronger support from the defensive line, to offset the loss. The timing is especially difficult because Houston now faces Joe Burrow and the Bengals, one week after Josh Allen stressed the defense. If To’oTo’o misses extended time, Woodaz appears to be the best bet to start, while Hansen and Hummel provide depth and special-teams-tested insurance behind him.
