Late August store closures effectively ended Pixel Tablet sales worldwide, with Google removing the device from its online store after it had shown as out of stock.
Google typically uses store removal to signal discontinuation, following the same pattern seen with products such as the Nest Mini and Nest Audio.
The move fits Google's stop-start tablet strategy: the planned Pixel Tablet 2 was junked in 2024, and no third model emerged in 2025.
That leaves Google out of Android tablet hardware sales for now, underscoring its uneven commitment to large-screen devices.
