OutKick will launch its first original animated series, “Sports Talk with Cal McCallister,” on Wednesday, with eight episodes set to roll out weekly on YouTube and social media.
The shorts center on Cal McCallister, a veteran radio host whose on-air clashes with callers are managed by his producer and grandson, Jody, with narration in the trailer from Dan Dakich.
Creator Matt Reigle said he spent months since last December writing, voicing, composing, editing and animating the series, describing it as largely a one-man production with some behind-the-scenes help.
