Summary
Michael Rapaport on Monday celebrated Macklemore being dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour after the rapper used his opening set to repeat “Free Palestine” and perform “Hind’s Hall.”
In an X video, Rapaport called Macklemore “anti-Jewish” and said concertgoers came for music, not what he described as false claims about genocide, occupation and apartheid.
Macklemore had defended the political messaging in a social-media clip, saying he took the tour so he could say “Free Palestine” in stadiums and make sure people in Gaza and the West Bank felt remembered.
The dispute widened online as Fox News Digital said Macklemore's team did not immediately respond, while streamer Hasan Piker criticized the removal as prioritizing support for Israel over free expression.
Rapaport, who has spoken out for Israel since Oct. 7, recently said that stance has hurt his comedy career, triggered boycotts and led to verbal attacks and threats in New York City.
