Gold Holds Above $4,334 as FxPro Sees Fed Hikes Creating Long-Term Buying Opportunity

Summary
$4,334.80 spot gold rose 1% and reclaimed a key support level even as markets priced in a more than 90% chance of a 25-basis-point Fed hike on Wednesday.
FxPro's Alex Kuptsikevich said gold could stay supported if the Fed's projections match expectations, with a second 2026 hike already seen as nearly 80% likely.
Three projected rate hikes would likely send the dollar sharply higher and trigger gold selling, he said, especially if Chair Kevin Warsh repeats his hawkish Jackson Hole tone.
Kuptsikevich still argues any post-hike drop could be a buying opportunity because dollar strength has driven recent weakness, while White House-Fed tensions and U.S. fiscal strains could revive demand for gold.
