Video released by the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office shows 20-year-old Timothy J. Reaggle slipping out of handcuffs, punching a bailiff and sprinting for a courthouse exit moments after sentencing.
Two Columbiana County deputies suffered broken bones when Reaggle struck one escorting him and crashed into another in the hallway before officers subdued him with a Taser near the front doors.
Reaggle had just received a 1-year prison term in a Feb. 14, 2025 case after pleading guilty in July to aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated menacing, failure to comply and two misdemeanor assault counts.
He is being held in the Columbiana County Jail pending transport to state prison, and Sheriff Brian McLaughlin said new charges are expected to include assault on a police officer and felony escape.
