Summary
SUPERHOT VR has been updated ahead of Valve’s Steam Frame launch, with the patch also rolling out to PC to unify the experience across both versions.
Steam verification for Frame is paired with gameplay and technical changes including improved controller-movement detection, direct launch into gameplay, Steam Cloud support and a switch from OVR to OpenXR.
Visual and audio upgrades include disabled-by-default scan lines, sharper in-game text, MSAA filtering, improved ragdoll animations and a move to SteamAudio for spatial sound.
The developers said the changes are all upgrades aimed at making the game feel and look better on newer VR hardware, while still leaving a rollback option for players who want the older version.
