Summary
Stephen Lashbrook, 50, said a meat-only “lion diet” adopted on Jan. 1, 2024 stopped suicidal thoughts within a week and cleared longstanding psoriasis and pain within a month.
Lashbrook said he had been about 90% covered in psoriasis after decades of depression, joint discomfort and failed creams, steroids and other medications, and turned to the diet after seeing Mikhaila Peterson discuss a similar regimen.
His current routine is one daily meal of 1.5 to 2 pounds of grass-fed beef, but he said he has not had follow-up blood work or seen a doctor since changing his diet.
Dr. Michael Aziz said cutting sugar and ultra-processed foods may help some people feel better, but that does not prove carnivore diets treat psoriasis and such diets can raise risks including constipation, kidney stones, heart attack and stroke.
The account lands as meat-heavy diets gain online attention—Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has described following one—and Lashbrook is set to speak at the Sept. 18-20 Carni-Con virtual event.
