Thursday’s injury report listed Tua Tagovailoa as a nonparticipant again, leaving the Falcons without a practice rep from their starting quarterback ahead of Sunday’s home opener against Carolina.
Cooper Rush and Michael Penix Jr. split first-team work Wednesday and were full participants again Thursday, but Atlanta has not decided who will start if Tagovailoa cannot play.
Rush opened Week 1 as the starter, while Penix was inactive; the team also has not confirmed whether Penix will be available in Week 2.
Elsewhere, A.J. Terrell returned as a full participant after a shoulder injury, Chris Lindstrom was limited with a concussion, and Jawaan Taylor sat out with a knee issue.
