Microsoft Issues 3 Out-of-Band Fixes for September Patch Bugs

Summary
Microsoft released a series of out-of-band updates to repair bugs introduced by September Patch Tuesday, restoring Remote Desktop Services, USB audio and a false Microsoft Defender-off alert.
Excel 2016 also broke after the patch, with some paste operations failing; hotfix 5002665 only partly resolves the issue, and some users still need to use Paste Special.
KB5129194 fixes Remote Desktop failures and servers hanging at “Please wait for the Remote Desktop Configuration,” addressing one of the more disruptive post-update problems.
Credential Guard-protected machine accounts and HCS-managed virtual machines still need extra steps or later fixes: Microsoft advised temporarily disabling Machine Identity Isolation enforcement and said a permanent fix will come in a future update.
The September security release had patched hundreds of vulnerabilities, but the follow-up fixes show how broadly the update disrupted enterprise tools including Active Directory, WSL and Teams calling.
