Federal Reserve estimates cited in the report show that this broader elite far outweighs the nearly 200 Americans on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, whose combined wealth is about $7 trillion.
That billionaire total is almost four times its level a decade ago, suggesting the same forces enriching the very top are also swelling the fortunes of less visible 'Main Street Millionaires.'
