CDPHE warned Friday that an unvaccinated out-of-state visitor with measles was at La Quinta Inn in Steamboat Springs on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., creating a potential exposure window.
Denver Union Station was also flagged for Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and people at the two sites were told to monitor for symptoms through Oct. 7 and Oct. 6, respectively.
72 hours is the window for an MMR shot after exposure to help prevent illness, while immunoglobulin given within 6 days may reduce or prevent disease in some cases.
25 measles cases have been reported in Colorado this year, and CDPHE said it will keep updating exposure locations as it tracks the visitor's movements.
