Aaron Rowe said Ed Sheeran is being wrongly targeted after Macklemore was forced off the Loop Tour over pro-Palestinian stage remarks, arguing attention should shift to Robert Kraft and what he called "Zionist lobbies."
In an edited Instagram video Friday, Rowe said panic drove a rushed decision, insisted Macklemore should not have been removed, and said he believes Sheeran knows the move was a mistake.
Rowe also said Sheeran's public response "could have been a lot better," though Sheeran had said the decision came from promoter Messina Touring Group and venue pressure he said was orchestrated by Kraft.
The dispute has widened beyond the lineup: Macklemore pledged $1 million to Palestinian support groups and challenged Kraft to match it, and Kraft later announced a $2 million regional humanitarian commitment he said matched a Sheeran donation.
