iPhone 18 Pro Max Extends Battery to 18:27 as Weight Climbs to 249 Grams

18 hours 27 minutes of tested battery life made the iPhone 18 Pro Max the longest-lasting iPhone yet, while the smaller 18 Pro reached 16:17—up nearly an hour from the 17 Pro but still below last year’s 17 Pro Max.
249 grams is the tradeoff for the Max model’s gains: Apple appears to have added a larger 5,567 mAh battery, a bigger vapor chamber and a six-blade variable-aperture camera system, while the 18 Pro stays lighter at 211 grams.
A 2nm A20 Pro chip delivered more than 4,700 single-core points and a 45% graphics jump over the 17 Pro Max, with the new cooling system helping sustain performance and the dual 16-core Neural Engine boosting AI tasks by 40% to 48%.
Camera and software upgrades include post-shot Cinematic Mode editing, manual video shutter controls and a 48MP main camera that shifts from f/1.48 to f/4.0; Apple also kept the Pro models’ dimensions unchanged, so iPhone 17 Pro cases still fit.
A $100 price increase leaves the 18 Pro as the lighter, cheaper option, while the 18 Pro Max offers the biggest screen, best battery life and full camera hardware for buyers not waiting for the foldable iPhone Duo.
