Rochester Public Schools on Monday disclosed Jim Vin’s district employment history after charges were formally filed, saying parents and educators may want to check in with students who attended schools where he worked.
RPS said it has no information indicating Vin engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct toward district students, but it is conducting an internal review and continuing to work with law enforcement.
Vin most recently worked at Washington Elementary from Aug. 17 to Sept. 18, 2026, after prior roles at Dakota Middle School in 2025-26 and Willow Creek Middle School across 2023-25.
The district said Vin also worked in School Aged Child Care in 2008 and served as a substitute ESP at multiple schools from 2007 to 2011; parents or staff with concerns were directed to school principals or the Office of School Leadership and Support.
