That could open space for a complementary receiver to exploit attention drawn by Adams. Blake Corum is another strong candidate if the Rams shift heavily toward the run, and Xavier Smith could pop on a deep shot. But if the question is who emerges as the unexpected hero in Nacua’s absence, Mumpfield stands out as the most plausible answer because opportunity, coaching confidence and matchup all point in his direction.
