Venu 6 gains fall detection that can send a user's live location to emergency contacts after a hard fall, bringing a safety feature already common on rival Apple and Wear OS devices.
Fenix 8, Forerunner 570, Forerunner 970, Venu 6 and Vivoactive 6 also get "OK Garmin" voice controls plus adaptive Garmin Run Coach plans and personalized workout suggestions tied to user performance.
The rollout is already underway through the Garmin Connect app and may take several days to reach all compatible devices, while Garmin is also issuing separate feature updates for Edge cycling computers.
