White House Launches 24/7 Trump TV as Media Ban Triggers Broadcaster Boycott

The White House has started “Trump TV: The Essentials Station,” a 24/7 YouTube stream meant to carry the administration’s “biggest moments” directly to viewers after major outlets were shut out.
The channel followed the administration’s ban on Politico, CNN and MS NOW over alleged false reporting, a move that prompted ABC, CBS, Fox News and NBC to stop televising presidential events in protest.
About 1,300 viewers watched at launch, but the stream reportedly offered long idle screens and raw, context-free footage of official events, with no anchors, narration, chyrons or clear timestamps.
A judge on Thursday temporarily ordered the White House to restore credentials for Politico, MS NOW and CNN, challenging the access restrictions that helped trigger the new in-house feed.
The clash has turned the White House press pool into the broader issue: whether presidential coverage is filtered through independent journalists or replaced by government-controlled video.
