Nearly 200 consumers complained they could not get money back for Ed Sheeran’s Gillette Stadium shows, prompting Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell to press Ticketmaster for refunds.
Ticketmaster agreed to let buyers seek refunds despite its policy allowing opening-act changes without compensation when lineups shift significantly.
Refund requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before showtime through Ticketmaster’s support channels, Campbell said, urging ticketholders to act quickly.
The refund dispute came before Messina Touring Group later canceled the weekend shows altogether over a forecasted nor’easter, after weeks of lineup controversy tied to Macklemore.
