Madonna Leads 2026 MTV VMA Nominations With 11, as Taylor Swift Follows With 9

Madonna scored 11 MTV Video Music Award nominations, topping the 2026 field more than 40 years after her first VMA performance.
Taylor Swift followed with nine nods, while Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter earned seven each; Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson picked up five apiece.
Top categories include video of the year, artist of the year and song of the year, with Madonna nominated for artist of the year and “Bring Your Love” in song of the year.
Snoop Dogg will host the fan-voted ceremony from Los Angeles on Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET, airing on CBS and streaming on MTV and Paramount+ Premium.
