Future Ventures led the round with Hyperplane and Lakestar participating; PitchBook data showed Modulate had previously raised $41 million at a $170 million valuation.
Founded in 2017 by two MIT physics undergrads, Modulate has shifted from gaming voice modulation to AI-audio detection and plans to hire about 10 people while expanding on-premises and on-device deployments for privacy.
