Reddit Ends RSS on Nov. 13 and Public API Access by March 2027

Summary
November 13 is Reddit’s cutoff date for RSS feeds, and public API access will end in March 2027 after the company said both channels enable large-scale scraping and misuse.
October 31 is the deadline for new public API requests, while approved third-party app developers must join a limited migration by January 12 or lose access when the shutdown takes effect.
14,000 apps and bots are already registered on Reddit’s Devvit platform, which will remain available for community moderation bots even as public access closes.
No direct replacement exists for users who follow subreddits or search results via RSS, though Reddit is steering moderators toward Discord Relay.
