Summary
October or November is the latest window Mark Gurman gave for Apple to unveil its first touchscreen MacBook Pro models, in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes.
macOS 27.2 testing is a key clue: Gurman said Apple is evaluating the laptops on the beta software, which is expected to ship near the end of October.
OLED touchscreens would headline the upgrade, alongside rumored M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, a thinner chassis and a Dynamic Island replacing the notch.
Apple is expected to position the touch models above its regular 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, while branding remains unsettled and could extend beyond the MacBook Pro name.
